The Rainbow Trout Farm was established in the 1950’s in freshwater springs flowing out of the Oak Creek Canyon wall. The original pond was built very close to the east wall – it moved in the 1970s. The smaller fishing pond was added in the 1990s.
We currently stock only Rainbow Trout. All of our trout are hatched from eggs and raised to dinner size right here on the property, in fresh artesian spring water. We don’t use any antibiotics or hormones, and only high-quality fish feed in raising them.
We’re located in beautiful Oak Creek Canyon, at the base of Wilson Mountain, about halfway between Uptown Sedona and Slide Rock State Park. Besides picnic tables and BBQ grills, we’ve got bathrooms, fish food dispensers, ice, and an assortment of snacks and beverages for sale.
We also supply fresh trout to a number of area restaurants. Chefs, interested in adding local Arizona trout to your menu?
